Repatriated rohingya claimed to be a spy of Burmese government

In a statement on Saturday 14th April, the Burmese government claimed five members of a Muslim family came to the Taungpyoletwea reception centre in Arakan state in the morning. On the other hand, Rohingya analyst and the Rohingya Rehabilitation Committee of Bangladesh called it Burmese’s “trickery”.

According to Rohingya refugees, Aktar Alam provided information of border area to Burma authorities. In August last year, this person also took shelter with thousands of Rohingya refugees who had taken shelter at the no-man’s land of the Tambru border in Naikhangchari. Burma’s Border Guard Police (BGP) and the local administration of Maungdaw are reported to have good contact with the person.

The media activists commented that by his appearance and sstatement, he never seemed to be a victim of torture. Another Rohingya Dill Mohammed said, Aktar is a spy of Burma government. He used to worked for Burma staying at Bangladesh.
