*Burma govt takes plan to cultivate on Rohingyas’ land through forced labors from Rohingyas*

Govt authority presses Rohingya village administrators in Buthidaung to collect forced labors to cultivate on the Rohingya’s abandoned land in the coming rainy season.

RNTv source from Buthidaung reports, on 23 April, the local chief of Battalion 552 from Buthidaung has called and ordered the Rohingya village administrators of Dar Bin Sara,Nga Yant Chaung,Inn Chaung and Mee Kyaung Zay villages to cultivate on the abondoned land of Rohingyas employing the remaining Rohingyas as forced laborers. The arrangement of agricultural works for the rainy season is to be confirmed from now as the rainy season is coming nearly. The battalion chief ordered to cultivate on 560 acres abandoned land.

The village administrators said that there remained a poor number of Rohingya, on their part it is impossible to cultivate the defined land. They requested the battalion chief to find another way and sources for this work. But the battalion chief reacted saying “I don’t understand your number. At any cost you must do it” . The village administrators were also insulted and assaulted on 23 April and also 24 April 2018.
